Boys’ Brigade

Boys’ Brigade resumes on Friday 6th September 2024.
The registration form and gift aid declaration should be completed here prior to attending Boys’ Brigade.

The Northern Ireland Boys’ Brigade is a dynamic, flexible, and inspiring church ministry for children and young people.

Our objective:
The advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness.

1st Legacurry Boys’ Brigade is open to boys of school age and has a varied programme of activities with something for everyone.

Boys’ Brigade meets on Friday nights at the following times:

Our membership fee for the current year is £30 per boy, which is largely made up of our central annual subscription to Boys’ Brigade headquarters.   

Donations can be paid either by: 

• Cheque made out to 1^st Legacurry Company Boys’ Brigade and posted to Gareth Martin, 5 Magheralave Manor, Lisburn, BT28 3EN 
• Bank transfer to the BB account noting the name of the boy(s) (1^st Legacurry Company Boys’ Brigade, Ulster Bank, sort code 98-09-60, account number 13407433) 

We don’t want any boy to miss out on the opportunity to take part in BB activities and so please contact the leader in charge if fees are an issue. 

We have the chance to increase the value of our annual subscriptions by claiming gift aid. This may be by as much as 25% of the annual subscriptions. By completing a declaration as part of the registration form we will be able to claim an income tax repayment from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC). This is part of the Gift Aid scheme which came into force on 6th April 2000. Members’ subscriptions are a major source of income and being able to reclaim the tax will be a useful addition to Company funds.   

For details in respect to uniform please speak to the leader in charge of each section.  We will have a swap shop running during the first few weeks with items of uniform available for a small donation.
