Taking Care is the name of the child protection policy and programme of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Our aim is to create and promote a safe environment for children, young people and leaders.

We believe that next to proclaiming God’s Word and the love of Christ, nothing could be more important than keeping our children and young people safe. Here at Legacurry we strive to ensure all of our children and young people are safe and protected at all our activities and organisations.

All our leaders are required to attend Taking Care training every 3 years and should have been through both an application process and Access NI checks. No new leader should commence a role in a youth organisation without this application process being followed and ratified by Kirk Session and PCI.

If you have any concerns relating to a child protection issue or require further information, our Designated Person for children protection is Michelle Thompson (07743431312).
