Dear Friends,

“Kilmount Presbyterian Church is situated in rural Co. Cavan about five miles from Cootehill. Like all rural communities, demographics fluctuate. Having had just one child of Sunday school age a decade ago, the last ten years have seen a significant increase in numbers, with over twenty children due to be at Sunday School within the next few years.

This has put pressure on space since Sunday School currently meets in the small session room at the rear of the church building during the morning service.

Plans are well advanced to replace the existing old stables with a multi-purpose Sunday School room which will prove a valuable resource for work and witness of the congregation in this rural community.

This is a huge undertaking for a small congregation of just over thirty families, and we are indebted for support from the Home Mission and the wider Church. Please pray for the work and witness of the congregation, for our children and young people, as well as for the management of this project which we hope will be finished in time for September 2019 DV!”

So writes the minister of Kilmount, Drum and Cootehill, the Rev. Daryl Edwards.

In Legacurry, it has been our recent policy to use our Harvest Thanksgiving to bless and support projects overseas and at home through PCI on alternate years.  In the past we have supported Naas, Drogheda and Arklow and this year Session and Committee have agreed to join with the Sunday School Project and support the very small congregation of Kilmount to provide a multi-purpose room that will richly encourage their potential for kingdom work in that area.  As a congregation, we have strong links with Cavan and Monaghan and I’m sure we will want to throw our weight behind this project through our generosity.

Yours in His name,
Bobby Liddle
