In July 1843, the laying of the foundation stones of the meeting house, marked the start of 175 years of Christian Worship and Witness in the Legacurry area of Lisburn.
As we give thanks to God for His faithfulness and His many blessings to us as a local church throughout the years, we plan to hold a series of special events – and we hope that you will be able to join us – especially if you don’t usually attend Legacurry.
We’re starting our celebrations on the afternoon of Saturday 18th August with a Family Fun Day in the church grounds. There’ll be lots of activities for all the family and admission is free. As we confirm more details, we’ll post them on this website so please check back later.
On the Sunday 2nd of September, we plan (D.V.) to have a special Anniversary Service and a Night of Praise. More details to follow.
Later in September (11th-13th), as a church family we will be sharing fellowship with a series of congregational meals.
We are just delighted that the Rev. Scott Woodburn from Edengrove Presbyterian in Ballynahinch has agreed to speak at these nights.
Also in September we hope to welcome a few ‘old faces’ back to Legacurry, starting with the Moderator (and former minister of Legacurry), the Rev. Dr Charles McMullan on September 23rd.
There are other events at the early stage of planning and we’ll publish these on our website as soon as possible.
